Audi R8 Pricing Announced

One of the most sought after brands of performance cars has once again produced a vehicle that is set to attract the attention of American car buyers. The Audi of America, the North American subsidiary of the German auto maker, has introduced the new Audi R8 and to date, it is the most advanced sports car from the company. The Audi R8 is the first truly mid-engine car from Audi and is set to hit showrooms in the United States this fall.

Recently, Audi of America announced the price of the sports car when it becomes available to all Audi consumers. The manufacturer’s suggested retail price (MSRP) for the high performance vehicle will start at $109,000. That price is for the base model of the R8 while for the R8 equipped with the six-speed R-tronic automatic transmission, the MSRP starts at $118,000. The base model is equipped with a six-speed manual gearbox.

Audiovox Cellular Phone

Audiovox is an electronics company. They operate under the brands Audiovox, Jensen, and Advent. Audiovox products include car audio, home audio and home electronics. On November 1, 2004, Audiovox sold their Audiovox cellular phone subsidiary Audiovox Communications Corp to UTStarcom.

Audiovox Corporation is a major supplier of wireless communications products, mobile entertainment, security products and consumer electronics products. It ranks among the leaders in wireless products and is the industry leader in mobile video products. The company markets its products through two subsidiaries, Audiovox Communications Corp. and Audiovox Electronics Corp. Through these subsidiaries the company’s products are sold to wireless carriers and their agents, retailers, distributors, original equipment manufacturers (OEM’s), and the U.S. military. The company is publicly traded on NASDAQ under the ticker symbol VOXX.

2008 Kenwood DNX Series Receiver Review – Built-In Navigation With Multimedia Playback

Kenwood tested out the double DIN in-dash navigation market with the DNX7100 in early 2007. Upon discovering its success, Kenwood continued its pursuit for supremacy in the car audio industry with the introduction of three 2008 DNX Series in-dash navigation: the DNX5120, DNX7120, and DNX8120.

All three of these units feature a built-in Garmin GPS navigation system with over 6 million points of interest for maps of the United States (including Hawaii), Canada, and even Puerto Rico. In addition, the DNX units could give users voice guidance of street names and upcoming turns. The in dash head unit could also receive XM live traffic as well as weather information and display them on the screen
