The bigger the sub woofer is the more you feel the sound going through you body but with that advantage come a big amp. These big sub woofers are power hungry and they need a lot of power to operate efficiently.
With audio speakers the amp must be just the right size. If the amp is to small you may clip the amp and cause distortion on the amp and the sub woofer’s coil will run hot and my blow, with a amp to big you may just blow it.
